At last night’s MTV Movie Awards, Ashley Tisdale defeated Miley Cyrus in the category of Best Female Performance.
Later in the evening, Cyrus would collect the popcorn trophy for Best Song from a film, making each of these young stars into winners.

All of a sudden, finishing second on Britain’s Got Talent is the least of Susan Boyle’s worries.
The singing sensation was rushed to the hospital a day after Saturday’s finale, as judge Piers Morgan said:
“I spoke to her yesterday for about half an hour and she’s fine. She’s gone in for some rest. She needs to get away from everyone – get away from the show, from the media, the public, and just have a bit of down time to herself.”
He added that Boyle entered the hospital entirely of her own volition and wished her a speedy recovery.
“Nobody, and I stress this, has had to put up with the kind of attention that Susan has. And no one could have predicted it – so we entered uncharted territory,” Morgan said.
Hang in there, Susan Boyle! An adoring public awaits your return.
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown even chimed in on the talent competition, congratulations winning dance troupe Diversity and adding:
“I hope Susan Boyle is okay, because she is a really, really nice person, and I think she will do well.”

The New Moon trailer debuted last night.
One of the hot film’s stars, Kristen Stewart, also debuted an interesting outfit, paired with a pair of converse sneakers, on the MTV Movie Awards’ red carpet.
Conversely, Watchmen hottie Malin Akerman heated things up in a sexy white pantsuit, powder blue bustier and gold strappy heels, all by Dolce & Gabbana.

It’s no longer a question: Jennifer Hudson is pregnant.
According to The Chicago Tribune, the Oscar-winner was honored with a baby shower in the Windy City this weekend, as longtime friend Felicia Fields confirms the event took place on Saturday.
“It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family,” Fields, also a singer and actress, said of a gathering in a relative’s home. “They’re really trying to keep it kind of quiet.”
Too late for that. Sources actually say Hudson is seven months along.
This will be the first child for the former American Idol finalist and fiance David Otunga. We’d like to wish them the very, very best.

Sunday night’s MTV Movie Awards were as notable for celebrity fashion statements as for whatever random awards the network arbitrarily handed out.
A Gossip Girl cutie was daringly sexy in a Emilio De La Morena cut-out dress, the new Brian Atwood Brie purple suede shoes and Cathy Waterman jewels.
Meanwhile, a High School Musical and former nude pic starlet wore a gorgeous orange Max Azria dress and matching Jimmy Choo “Riv” platform sandals.
